National Students Union of India (NSUI) in press note issued here said that the incident in Kashmir university is unacceptable to student community and student organizations.
Fairoz Khan National Secretary National Students Union Of India (NSUI) said the administration always curbed the student activism in Kashmir University (KU). The students were peacefully protesting, why the police is called and the firing of aerial shots inside the KU is beyond the imagination and cannot be accepted by the student community. KU is a prestigious institution and have produced the elite class and in KU the cream of Kashmir is studying and you cannot treat them like this. J&k Police should mend its ways stop treating student which is educated and elite class like this and this beyond tolerance they are here to protest not to show their power and suppress student activism.
This is black day in the history of student activism where student were harassed and thrown out of hostel even female students for what demanding release of their colleague. The suspending of class work firstly upto 27 and continuing that will not help. The Kashmir University V,C should resign on moral grounds and CM should intervene into the matter and should set up a enquiry into whole incident and if not the protest will occur in whole state and be ready for the consequences and enough is enough and stop acting like mute spectator and do something.
